Foot playing pianist Liu Wei lost both of his arms in an electrocution accident but that didn't stop him from performing and winning China's Got Talent.
Chinese pianist Zheng Gui Gui is a kindergarten teacher in a small village in China. She participated in China's Got Talent in 2011 and amazed all with her skill.
Thanks to Stephen Colbert for bringing this to our attention:
The Catacombo sound system is "a revolutionary customized sound system for audiophiles on the other side.
The catacoffin employs a pair of two way speakers, tweeters, and a divine 8 inch subwoofer, fine tuned to the coffin's unique interior acoustic space.
So, embrace. Embrace your passion for music, in this life and the next."
Colbert: "Yes. Speakers mounted inside a coffin. Also the rejected sales pitch for the first Mazda Miata." Not to be outdone, Colbert then announced his own solution for those who prefer cremation, the iUrn - "When you're ready to rock your ash off".
Artist and TED Fellow Nathalie Miebach takes weather data from massive storms and turns it into complex sculptures that embody the forces of nature and time. These sculptures then become musical scores for a string quartet to play.
Earlier this week Legendary rocker Neil Young did his part in the battle against covid misinformation, saying that the streaming music service Spotify "has a responsibility to mitigate the spread of misinformation on its platform."
"I want you to let Spotify know immediately TODAY that I want all my music off their platform," said Young. "They can have Rogan or Young. Not both."
Young is of course referring to the infamous podcaster and self described "moron" Joe Rogan, who has promoted ivermectin, anti vaccine views and other covid misinformation on Spotify and other platforms. Spotify has paid $100 million, YES MILLION, for the rights to Rogan's nonsense. Unfortunately Rogan has more listeners. So we can't blame them for siding with Joe Rogan as they recently did by removing Neil Young's music. It seems covid misinformation is more profitable than Young's classic rock.
Where are all the other musicians at?
It would probably help convince Spotify to do the right thing if more artists followed suit with Neil Young, or request that Spotify demand better from Rogan at the very least. Crosby, Stills and Nash have all backed Young, as has Joni Mitchell by removing her music from Spotify, saying "Irresponsible people are spreading lies that are costing people their lives. I stand in solidarity with Neil Young and the global scientific and medical communities on this issue."
We stand with you, Neil Young. Rogan and Spotify you can kiss our tabbin a$$es. This pandemic isn't a f$#king game and the misinformed are dragging it out. The fact that they are doing this at the current freaking peak of covid cases and hospitalizations is astounding.
This seriously hit me so hard it gave me chills. Burnham's "Can't Handle This (Kanye Rant)" is the most intricate piece of comedy and self-awareness you will have ever seen. All of me loves this right now. Hang in there, friend.
Here at TabNabber, we trust in the wisdom of experts and believe in the power of music.
Sure, everyone SAYS they are pro-science, but if you are not a scientist yourself and your beliefs are in conflict with the overwhelming majority of scientists, you are anti-science.
The majority of scientists know more than you do. As Arnold Schwarzenegger so eloquently stated, "If 9 doctors tell you you have cancer and need to treat it or you will die, and 1 doctor says the cancer will disappear, you should always side with the 9.
It takes strength to admit you don’t know everything. Weakness is thinking you don’t need expert advice and only listening to sources that confirm what you want to believe."
With that, have a listen to expert faux news anchor John Oliver with the importance of listening to a statistically representative sample size of experts.
Veteran musician Eric ClapSpread has been campaigning against coronavirus vaccines and claiming to refuse to play shows where vaccine mandates are required (though he still does). He is now bankrolling a tiny little anti-vaccine rock group that claims to advocate for "medical choice."
What the Freedumbs and ClapSpread don't seem to understand is that freedom doesn't give one the right to harm others. The Covid-19 virus and the 2X faster spreading Delta variant is [shocker] highly contagious which means one's actions can and do affect others. Covidiots like these are the very reason the pandemic has stretched on for as long as it has, but don't take my word for it.
