Music As Mind Control



Scientific American with a report on how rhythmic music affects people, causing heads to bob and feet to tap in synchronicity and even altering our memories and decision making abilities.

Using electrical detectors, the researchers' experiment found that rhythm actually alters and synchronizes brain waves, and coordinates the behavior and thinking of the listeners.
"Our perception of the external world entering our mind through our eyes is affected by the rhythm of what we hear. Something seen at a point precisely in beat with an auditory rhythm is more likely to be perceived than if it appears out of synch with the rhythm. "
